"Aliens Take Over Future Earth" by Siddharth: Feb. 2024 3rd Place

RRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG! The timer rang and it was time to walk around the room and give out valentines. I quickly ran out to the hall to get my gigantic bag of Valentine’s cards.

I opened the letter in my bag carefully and read, “Past me, I need help because aliens have taken over our beloved planet! I need your inventions to help save Earth.”

First, I was thinking maybe it was a prank, but then I flipped the card and saw my signature. I believed my future self sent me this message. After school, I started to think about what I should make for the battle. I got a brilliant idea.

I whispered to myself, “I should build a laser for disintegrating aliens.”

I gathered all of my friends and we built a laser. It took some time and effort, but it worked. We then hid it so Mom wouldn’t see it. After we finished, everyone went home.

A week later, the future carrier came. We went at hyperspeed and someone vomited after the ride. Once we got there, we saw the future me. We ate food and then we went into battle. My stomach started to grumble. Bleh! I vomited all over the aliens and they started to disintegrate. At least half of the aliens were gone and there were twenty left. We quickly knocked them out with all my other inventions. We won the battle and went back to the past.

“BYE FUTURE ME!!!”
